Aguimes
Spain, also known as Kingdom of Spain, is one of the oldest inhabited regions on the planet. It is a country which is located in Southern Europe, and politically organized as a parliamentary monarchy. It is the largest sovereign nation of the three nations that make up the Iberian Peninsula. Administratively, Spain is divided into 50 provinces, grouped into 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities with a high degree of autonomy. The name Spain comes from the Latin name Hispania whose capital is Madrid which is also the largest city of the Country.
Aguimes is a Canarian municipality in the eastern portion of the island of Gran Canaria in the Las Palmas province in the Canary Islands. Agüimes is a suburb of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It had a population of 23,572, as of 2003, with a population density of 297.33 inhabtants per square kilometer within an area of 79.28 square kilometer. It has an altitude of 275 meters. Aguimes is situated between the mountains and the plains.
The mountains including several valleys to the west dominate the west, the plains along with a residential area that has more inhabitants than the downtown area and is the largest Gran Canaria and Teide and E of Puerto Rico and is accessed with the lies to the east along with the Atlantic Ocean. Agüimes is located S of Las Palmas de GC, superhighway. The main industry are agriculture, some businesses and tourism.
Aguimes can also be described as the best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times. This is evident from the archaeological sites found throughout Aguimes. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and gain enthusiasm from its natural beauty and populace.
