Majadahonda
Spain, officially the Kingdom of Spain, is one of the oldest inhabited regions on the planet. It is a country that is located in Southern Europe, politically organized as a parliamentary monarchy. It is the largest of the three sovereign nations that make up the Iberian Peninsula. Administratively, Spain is divided into 50 provinces, grouped into 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities with high degree of autonomy. The name Spain comes from the Latin name Hispania whose capital and largest city is Madrid.
Majadahonda, Madrilenian municipality is located 16 kilometers away from the capital city and is originally the zone of culture and pasturing. During the taking of Madrid in the Spanish Civil War it was scene of hard combats. At the moment the population goes up to around the 60,000 people. Its expansion has been accelerated, like in all the towns near the Community of Madrid.
The birth of Majadahonda is not very sure although it is thought there that they were segovianos shepherds, by the century XIII, those that were based in the zone and constructed few cabins. With the passage of time, those houses were multiplied later giving rise to a modest called village Majadahonda, pertaining in the first place to the Segoviano Country and to the Land of Madrid.
It is even the home of a new vanguardista sort known like ponky beer mug. It tries to develop a platform so that the majariegos young people can maintain when crossing the pedestrian crossing that unites the Vines with the Zoco de Majadaohnda. This platform counts already on the financial support of the Men of Mentrida.
Majadahonda celebrations in honor to the Santisimo are celebrated Christ of the Remedies that are celebrated on the 14 of September. Also one honors to Santa Catherine and the Virgin of the Solitude. During the celebrations era of tradition to loosen bulls by the streets and at the moment it is a municipality with enough fans and great recortadores. Majadahonda is one of the pre-eminent, historical and potential tourism destinations located in the Spain.
