Arrecife
Spain, also known as Kingdom of Spain, is one of the oldest inhabited regions on the planet. It is a country which is located in Southern Europe, and politically organized as a parliamentary monarchy. It is the largest sovereign nation of the three nations that make up the Iberian Peninsula. Administratively, Spain is divided into 50 provinces, grouped into 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities with a high degree of autonomy. The name Spain comes from the Latin name Hispania whose capital is Madrid which is also the largest city of the Country. Arrecife is a city in the Canary Islands, Spain and is situated in the east of the island of Lanzarote of which it is the capital since 1852. The city gives its name to the nearby international airport. The population is 50,785 with its population density of 2,235.25 per square kilometers and the total area 22.72 square kilometers. It is south of Haria, east of Tinajo and northeast of Yaiza. It is location 28 degrees and 57 minutes north and 13 degrees and 32 minutes west. Arrecife is also a port town serving to other islands and to the Europe and mainland Africa. Arrefice is accessed with LZ1 linking to the north, LZ2 and LZ3 and is bypasses to the northwest and west. The highway to the southern portion of the island lies to the west. The main industries in the town are agriculture, business and tourism. The Atlantic Ocean is to the east and southeast, the mountains are to the north, the hills lie to the west and farmlands dominate the rest of the municipality. A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Arrecife is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
