Mislata
Spain, also known as Kingdom of Spain, is one of the oldest inhabited regions on the planet. It is a country which is located in Southern Europe, and politically organized as a parliamentary monarchy. It is the largest sovereign nation of the three nations that make up the Iberian Peninsula. Administratively, Spain is divided into 50 provinces, grouped into 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities with a high degree of autonomy. The name Spain comes from the Latin name Hispania whose capital is Madrid which is also the largest city of the Country. Mislata is a municipality of Arabic origin in the community of Valencia, Spain. It has borders with the city of Valencia in the North and East, Quart de Poblet in the West and Xirivella in the south. In recent decades it has gone from being a village in the Horta region of Valencia to the second most densely populated municipality in Spain and one of the most densely populated in Europe, with a population of 42,302 in 2005, spread across 2.1 kilometres. This growth has been assisted by better transport communications including the opening of 2 stations of the Valencian metro on 20 May 1999 in the town which provide a direct connection to the main railway station and the main shopping area in Calle Colon. Further construction work which was completed on green belt land in 2005 will further increase Mislata's population density. The area has in a physical sense, been almost swallowed up by the encroaching suburbs of Valencia in recent years. Mislata is well connected with central Valencia. In addition to several bus routes, Mislata now has two metro stations, Mislata and Almassil. A third station, Nou d'Octubre is nearby and it is the only town outside the city of Valencia to be categorised as zone A by the private taxi system. Mislata's main places of interest are the churches Mare de Deu dels Angels Mother of God of the angels' and Creu Coberta Covered Cross. Mislata enjoys a very good reputation amongst worldwide travelers and hence is one of the most visited places in Spain.
