Dos Hermanas
Spain, also known as Kingdom of Spain, is one of the oldest inhabited regions on the planet. It is a country which is located in Southern Europe, and politically organized as a parliamentary monarchy. It is the largest sovereign nation of the three nations that make up the Iberian Peninsula. Administratively, Spain is divided into 50 provinces, grouped into 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities with a high degree of autonomy. The name Spain comes from the Latin name Hispania whose capital is Madrid which is also the largest city of the Country. Dos Hermanas is a city located 15 kilometers in south of Sevilla in Andalusia. The population of the city is 109,595 residents in 2004. The city's name, which means Two Sisters, dates from its establishment in 1248 by King Ferdinand III of Castile and honours the sisters of Gonzalo Nazareno, one of the king's main military commanders. The main financial activities of the city nowadays are the production and distribution of olive oil, together with an important number of service industries.
