Eivissa
Spain, also known as Kingdom of Spain, is one of the oldest inhabited regions on the planet. It is a country which is located in Southern Europe, and politically organized as a parliamentary monarchy. It is the largest sovereign nation of the three nations that make up the Iberian Peninsula. Administratively, Spain is divided into 50 provinces, grouped into 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities with a high degree of autonomy. The name Spain comes from the Latin name Hispania whose capital is Madrid which is also the largest city of the Country. Eivissa is a city and municipality located on the southeast coast of the island of Eivissa, Ibiza in the Balearic Islands autonomous community. Although called Ibiza in Spanish, its official Catalan name is Eivissa, as restored in 1986, and its inhabitants call it Vila d'Eivissa or simply Vila. The city, which has a population of 37,408, is the capital and most populous settlement of the island and of the Illes Pitiuses group. It is widely known for its extravagant nightlife, with its discotheques attracting visitors from all over the world. A municipality is an administrative entity composed of a clearly defined territory and its population and commonly referring to a city, town, or village, or a small grouping of them. A municipality is typically governed by a mayor and a city council or municipal council. A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Eivissa is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
