El Prat de Llobregat
Spain, also known as Kingdom of Spain, is one of the oldest inhabited regions on the planet. It is a country which is located in Southern Europe, and politically organized as a parliamentary monarchy. It is the largest sovereign nation of the three nations that make up the Iberian Peninsula. Administratively, Spain is divided into 50 provinces, grouped into 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities with a high degree of autonomy. The name Spain comes from the Latin name Hispania whose capital is Madrid which is also the largest city of the Country.
El Prat de Llobregat is a municipality in the county of the Baix Llobregat in Catalonia, a Spanish autonomous community which borders on Valencia to the south, Aragon to the west, France and Andorra to the north, and the Mediterranean Sea to the east and southeast. It is situated in the delta of the Llobregat River on the right bank. More than a quarter of the area of the municipality is occupied by the Barcelona Airport, apart from the transport links to the airport, the town of El Prat is served by a railway station on the coast line from Barcelona to Valencia. The municipality also has a beach and a small nature reserve at the Llac, Lake, de la Ricarda i del Remolar. El Prat is famous because it has a unique cock that has blue legs known as gall potablava in Catalan.
El Prat de Llobregat enjoys a very good reputation amongst worldwide travelers and hence is one of the most visited places in Spain. A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, El Prat de Llobregat is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
