Estepona
Spain, also known as Kingdom of Spain, is one of the oldest inhabited regions on the planet. It is a country which is located in Southern Europe, and politically organized as a parliamentary monarchy. It is the largest sovereign nation of the three nations that make up the Iberian Peninsula. Administratively, Spain is divided into 50 provinces, grouped into 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities with a high degree of autonomy. The name Spain comes from the Latin name Hispania whose capital is Madrid which is also the largest city of the Country. Estepona is a town and municipality in the region of the Costa del Sol, southern Spain. It is located in the province of Malaga, a part of the autonomous community of Andalusia. Estepona is renowned for its beaches, which stretch along some 21 kilometers of coastline. It is a popular resort and holiday destination. Estepona has an active fishing port, with daily auctions for a wide variety of seafood. At present the population is 54,709. Estepona has a huge array of small local shops offering locally made produce and goods. In the main town centre there are a number of boutiques offering contemporary international clothing brands and other goods. Estepona has a wide array of cuisines on offer, ranging from local Spanish cuisine to most Mediterranean cuisines such as Italian and French. Many restaurants offer terrace dining allowing diners to eat outside during the late evening in pleasant temperatures. The monuments are The Town Clock Tower, The San Luis Castle, The Church of Los Remedios, The original Bullring. Estepona, a Malaga province enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited places.
