Granollers
Spain, also known as Kingdom of Spain, is one of the oldest inhabited regions on the planet. It is a country which is located in Southern Europe, and politically organized as a parliamentary monarchy. It is the largest sovereign nation of the three nations that make up the Iberian Peninsula. The name Spain comes from the Latin name Hispania whose capital is Madrid which is also the largest city of the Country. Granollers is a city near Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is the capital and most densely populated city of the comarca of Valles Oriental. The city is crossed by the river Congost which is an affluent to Besos river. Granollers has a total area of 14.89 square km and a population of 55,000 habitants with a metropolitan area of nearby 90,000. It is considered to be situated in the second crown of Barcelona metropolitan area. Granollers is a lively business centre, and many industries are located there. Granollers forms a metropolis with Canovelles, Les Franqueses del Valles and the neighbourhood of La Torreta in La Roca del Valles. Granollers, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited city. It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times. A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Granollers is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
