Guadalajara




Spain, also known as Kingdom of Spain, is one of the oldest inhabited regions on the planet. It is a country which is located in Southern Europe, and politically organized as a parliamentary monarchy. It is the largest sovereign nation of the three nations that make up the Iberian Peninsula. Administratively, Spain is divided into 50 provinces, grouped into 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities with a high degree of autonomy. The name Spain comes from the Latin name Hispania whose capital is Madrid which is also the largest city of the Country.
 
Guadalajara is a city and municipality in the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, Spain. It is the capital of the province of Guadalajara. It is located roughly 60 kilometers northeast of Madrid on the Henares River and has a population of 66,200. Guadalajara was founded by the Iberians and was in the hands of the Carpetani and was named Arriaca. The city, as Caracca or Caraca was incorporated into the Roman province of Hispania Tarraconensis. The city was on the high road from Emerita to Caesaraugusta.
 
It has several historic buildings such as the Palacio del Infantado, as well as many churches. The Mexican city of Guadalajara Jalisco, was founded by Nuno Beltran de Guzman, a native of the Spanish Guadalajara.Guadalajara is twinned with towns, which include Nuneaton in United Kingdom, Roanne in France, Livorno in Italy and Parma in Italy.

Guadalajara is one of the most visited cities. It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and gain enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace.
