Torrelavega




Spain, also known as Kingdom of Spain, is one of the oldest inhabited regions on the planet. It is a country which is located in Southern Europe, and politically organized as a parliamentary monarchy. It is the largest sovereign nation of the three nations that make up the Iberian Peninsula. Administratively, Spain is divided into 50 provinces, grouped into 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities with a high degree of autonomy. The name Spain comes from the Latin name Hispania whose capital is Madrid which is also the largest city of the Country.
 
Torrelavega is a municipality and a significant commercial and industrial basis of the uniprovincial independent community of Cantabria that is located to about eight kilometers of the Cantabrian coast Spanish and to 27.5 kilometers of the autonomic capital, Santander, between Basque and the Asturias Country.
 
It was founded at the end of century XIII by Garci Lasso I of the Fertile valley, Advanced Greater of Castile in name of Alfonso XI. Torrelavega was a cattle center of importance for Castile from remote times. The increase of population and the development of their industry deserved to him in 1895 the title of City, granted by then runs Maria Cristina de Borbon.
 
Torrelavega enjoys a very good reputation amongst worldwide travelers and hence is one of the most visited places in Spain.
