Valls
Spain, officially the Kingdom of Spain, is one of the oldest inhabited regions on the planet. It is a country that is located in Southern Europe, politically organized as a parliamentary monarchy. It is the largest of the three sovereign nations that make up the Iberian Peninsula. Administratively, Spain is divided into 50 provinces, grouped into 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities with high degree of autonomy. The name Spain comes from the Latin name Hispania whose capital and largest city is Madrid. Valls is the capital of the comarca of Alt Camp, in the province of Tarragona, Catalonia. Comarca is a list of the comarques of Catalonia. A comarca is roughly equivalent to a US county or a UK district. However, in the context of Catalonia, the term county can be a bit misleading, because in medieval Catalonia, the most important rulers were counts, notably the Counts of Barcelona many of whom also held the Crown of Aragon and of Urgell. Comarques have no particular relation to the counties that were ruled by counts. Valls is located at 215 metres above the sea level. The population was 20,206 in the year 1996. Their typical food is calcots, a grill onion. It is usual to eat this food with the entire family.
Valls is also said to be one of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times. This is evident from the archaeological sites found throughout the place. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and pursue enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace.
