I’m Learning Spanish at the Click of a Castanet
CLIC IH is a language school based in the south of Spain that combines learning nouns and verbs with the aromas, pastimes and culture of a vibrant people. It now offers a package that looks irresistible to those of us who believe that Spanish is fast becoming the second global language of choice. Students can learn Spanish at CLIC IH clic.es and combine it with lessons in Flamenco guitar or dance. So I’m packing my bags and souvenir castanets and heading south to the romantic city of Seville.(I-Newswire) - For many years, Spain was ruled by General Franco and the only outlet for free expression was music and dance. As a child I remember watching beautiful women wearing stunning dresses and frilly petticoats, dancing and clicking castanets to the rhythms of the Flamenco guitarists. The men, wearing impossibly tight suits, like matadors in the bullring, would strut and stamp their feet, working with the guitarists to build the rhythm to a pulsating climax. Hot Flamenco nights, sangria and paella, it is little wonder that the British have made Spain their second home. The Flamenco / Spanish language course to be found at clic.es, includes an hour and a half daily of learning Spanish, Monday-Friday for two weeks, and three hours daily of Flamenco guitar or dance. Outside those hours you can wander the old city of Seville, soaking up the sounds and smells as you practice speaking the language. On the weekend you can either take to the beach or explore the amazing Andalusian countryside. CLIC IH cleverly combines the pleasure of discovering the real Spain with the very highest standards of a serious language school, giving students of all ages and skills the opportunity to gain internationally recognised qualifications. The kind of accommodation available includes home-stays with Spanish families, the school’s residences and self-catering apartments. There are many more courses on offer at the school that attract students of every age and ability.
