Royal Chapel or Capilla Real: The Final Gothic Cathedral

The designs for the Capilla Real began in 1504 and it was constructed by Enrique Egas among 1505 and 1521. It was commissioned by the Christians Royals for their interment location. As both King Fernando and Queen Isabel expired before the Capilla Real was completed, they were primary hidden in the Chapel of San Francisco in the Alhambra.

They were there and soon they changed to the Church when it was completed. Both hidded alongside Queen Juana and King Felipe, Juana was normally recognized as Juana the Mad or Juana la Loca.
Though their first thought was that all the new Spanish Queens and Kings could be hidden there, this did not take place as the religious home in El Escorial was utilized as an alternative. The tombs were built of mineral through the Tuscan designer Domenico Fancelli. This was the final gothic cathedral to be constructed in Spain. Four edifices are now located in the place where the Main Mosque used to be: the Church of the Sagrario, the Merchants' Exchange, the Cathedral, and the Royal Chapel.

The altarpiece includes 4 painted panels made of wood presenting the Conquest of Granada, one demonstrates Moors being baptized. On both sides of the sanctuary the 2 imploring figures of Fernando and Isabel are present. The church also has the entire Isabel's art compilation.
